Venom: The Last Dance

I just finished watching Venom: The Last Dance, and honestly, I didn’t even realize when the movie ended. That’s not necessarily a good thing. While I enjoyed bits and pieces of it, I couldn’t shake the feeling that I was expecting something better, bigger, and more impactful.

So, let’s break it down—what worked, what didn’t, and whether this was a satisfying farewell for Tom Hardy’s Venom.

The Good – Venom’s Signature Chaos & Humor

If there’s one thing the Venom movies always get right, it’s the hilarious back-and-forth between Eddie Brock and Venom. Their dysfunctional bromance is the heart of the franchise, and The Last Dance keeps that going strong.

Venom is as snarky, hungry, and weirdly lovable as ever, delivering some of the movie’s best moments. The humor? Still on point. The action? Fast-paced and chaotic, exactly what you’d expect from a symbiote showdown.

And visually? The symbiote effects have never looked better. Whether it’s Venom slinging across the city or going full monster-mode in battle, the CGI team deserves credit for keeping it slick.

The Bad – Rushed Storytelling & Missed Potential

While I had fun, something felt… off. The pacing was all over the place, making the movie feel rushed rather than epic. It’s like the plot was speeding through just to get to the end—without giving enough time to really develop the stakes.

Also, where was the depth? Venom and Eddie’s journey deserved a stronger emotional payoff. This was supposed to be The Last Dance, but it didn’t feel like the big finale we were promised.

The villain? Forgettable. Without a strong antagonist to match Venom’s energy, the stakes never really hit hard.

Final Verdict – Fun, but Not the Grand Farewell We Deserved

I didn’t hate Venom: The Last Dance, but I also didn’t love it. It had fun moments, cool visuals, and classic Venom humor, but the rushed pacing and lack of depth left me wanting more.

It’s a movie you’ll enjoy in the moment, but once it’s over, you might find yourself asking: Was that it?

Would I recommend it? Sure, if you’re a Venom fan. Just go in with lowered expectations, and you’ll have a good time.
