The Walking Dead Season 7

Written by someone who still hasn’t forgiven Negan. Like, bro, come on.

Episode 1: The Day the Fandom Cried

Let’s not sugarcoat it — the season opens with a literal emotional sledgehammer.
Negan steps in like a sadistic showman on open mic night, and… whack.
Abraham? Gone.
Glenn? Gone gone.
Me? Still crying 7 seasons later.

Bro moment: This wasn’t just a plot twist. This was emotional carnage. They didn’t break Rick.
They broke us.

Rick, The Not-So-Sheriff Anymore

For half of The Walking Dead Season 7, our boy Rick walks around like someone who just lost his zombie Netflix password.

Negan’s like that super toxic manager who says “We’re a family” right after making you kneel and clean up Lucille’s mess.
Rick? He becomes a reluctant intern in this bloody startup called The Saviors Inc.

Negan: The Charismatic Sociopath

Let’s be honest. Negan is evil, but he’s got swag.

Leather jacket.
Leaning pose.
Sarcasm level: Deadly.

But bro, why so much monologue before smashing skulls? Like—are we in a TED Talk or a bloodbath?

Side Note: If Negan had a podcast, I’d probably hate-listen to every episode.

Alexandria, Hilltop, and the “Wait… Kingdom has a Tiger?” Arc

The Walking Dead Season 7 is all about building alliances, and Ezekiel enters like Shakespeare in a lion king costume.
I mean, man’s got a tiger named Shiva.
Bro. A TIGER.

Maggie steps up at Hilltop like a boss.
Carol goes full ninja-witch-vibe.
And Jesus?
Still the most agile human since Spider-Man.

The War Is Brewing, Slowly…

It’s less zombie apocalypse, more political strategy simulator.
Each episode, you’re like:
“Are we fighting today?”
Narrator: “No. Not today.”

But lowkey, you feel it building. Every small win, every betrayal, every walker-fueled ambush.
This is the calm (ish) before the war.

Funny But True Moments:

  • The walkers this season were more like background dancers. Negan had the spotlight.

  • Rick’s beard changed more than the actual plot some episodes.

  • Every time Negan leaned back, someone died a little inside.

  • Eugene’s hair got more screen time than Carl.

The Finale (Finally)

By the end of the season, Rick finally does what we all screamed at our screens for 16 episodes:
He stands up.

Alexandria, Hilltop, and Kingdom unite like some kind of zombie-fighting Avengers.
We’re all fired up.
There’s hope.
And Shiva… oh, Shiva pounces into battle like Simba took martial arts.
