The Boys Season 3

The Boys Season 3 goes nuclear with the arrival of Soldier Boy — a vintage, Captain-America-gone-wrong supe — and the debut of Temp V, a drug that grants temporary powers.

Enter Soldier Boy

Jensen Ackles’ Soldier Boy is a swaggering relic with a devastating power and a grudge. The race to weaponize him against Homelander drives the whole season.

Temp V and the Herogasm Detour

Butcher and Hughie taste power themselves via Temp V, and the now-infamous “Herogasm” episode cements the show’s no-limits reputation.

The Father Twist

The bombshell: Soldier Boy is Homelander’s biological father — a reveal that deepens Homelander’s daddy issues and his spiral.

The Show at Its Most Unhinged

The Boys Season 3 is where the series fully embraces its reputation for going further than anyone thinks it will — and “Herogasm” is only the most infamous example. But beyond the shock value, it’s a surprisingly sharp study of cycles of abuse. Soldier Boy, Homelander, and Ryan form a three-generation chain of inherited damage, each one passing trauma down the line whether they mean to or not. Hughie’s flirtation with Temp V becomes a pointed look at how power corrupts even the well-intentioned, nearly costing him Starlight. Jensen Ackles brings real swagger and menace to Soldier Boy, a relic who’s both genuinely sympathetic and casually horrifying. Meanwhile Queen Maeve fights to claw back some agency in a world that’s stopped pretending to be heroic. It’s loud, it’s bloody, and underneath the carnage it’s quietly one of the show’s most thematically rich seasons.

Is The Boys Season 3 Worth Watching?

Definitely. It ends on a terrifying note: Homelander, fully unleashed, murders a protester in public — and the crowd cheers, with Ryan watching. The mask is off. 🔥
