Marvel’s Hall H Panel Is Tonight: What to Expect – And What’s at Stake for Every Doomsday Theory

Deep breath, everyone. After skipping last year’s convention entirely, Marvel Studios walks back into San Diego Comic-Con’s Hall H tonight – and with Avengers: Doomsday five months from theaters, this is the studio’s biggest stage moment of the year. Here’s when the Marvel Hall H panel happens, how to actually follow it, what’s expected, and exactly what tonight means for every theory we’ve published this week.

When is the Marvel Hall H panel – and how to follow it

The panel runs Saturday, July 25, from 5:30 to 6:30 PM Pacific (some listings show doors at 5:00 PM). For readers in India, that’s roughly 6:00 to 7:00 AM Sunday morning. And the classic Hall H catch applies: Hall H panels are not livestreamed. The 6,500 people in the room see everything; the rest of us follow live coverage from the trades and social media, and wait to see which footage Marvel releases online afterward. We’ll be doing the following for you – our full recap goes up tomorrow morning, the moment the dust settles.

What Marvel is expected to bring

Previews point to a one-hour presentation with “special guests from across the MCU” – which everyone reads as the Doomsday cast assembled on stage for the first time. Beyond that, the reasonable expectations: exclusive Doomsday footage (Hall H exclusives often stay in the room), possible updates on Spider-Man: Brand New Day, the X-Men’s future, and maybe a first real tease of Avengers: Secret Wars. Rewatch the trailer before tonight – it’s the map for everything that follows:

The stakes: our theories walk into Hall H tonight

We spent this week publishing theories. Tonight, Marvel gets a chance to confirm or destroy them in front of 6,500 witnesses. What we’re watching for:

  • The Hydra Cap theory: any new Steve Rogers footage. Watch the costume – if hammer-Steve and the classic suit still never share a frame, the two-Steves reading lives.
  • Doom wants Franklin Richards: a single frame of Franklin in new footage upgrades this from theory to basically confirmed.
  • The surrender ending: any patchwork-world imagery is a Battleworld tell.
  • Does Thor die: who stands on that stage and how Hemsworth talks about the future says more than any trailer.
  • The Loki questions: TVA boss or failing god? If Hiddleston appears tonight, listen for which Loki he is playing.
  • The Doom-Tony face question: we deliberately have not published our deep-dive on this one yet, because tonight is the single most likely moment for Marvel to address it. If they stay silent, that post drops this week.

Our five on-the-record predictions

Grade us tomorrow – these are locked before the panel starts:

  1. An extended Doomsday look screens in the hall, and a shorter version hits YouTube within 48 hours.
  2. The full cast walk-on happens, Chris Evans included, and the clip dominates social media all weekend.
  3. At least one “missing” hero gets teased – our money is on a Spider-Man or Wolverine name-drop, not footage.
  4. The Doom-Tony face question does NOT get answered. That reveal is Secret Wars currency.
  5. Secret Wars gets a logo-and-date tease only. No footage. December 17, 2027 stays put.

One more thing before the lights go down

Whatever happens tonight, tomorrow morning we publish the full breakdown: every announcement, every reveal graded against our theories, no take deleted. If we called it, we celebrate. If we got wrecked, you get to watch. That’s the deal.

Drop your own predictions in the comments before the panel starts – timestamped receipts only count if they’re public.
