Endgame Encore new scenes are the only new Avengers: Doomsday footage Marvel will show before December 18, and there are four of them. All four sit at the very end of the film: one extends the final dance, one plays mid-credits, one after the credits, and one runs under the end titles. Together they add roughly four to five minutes to a movie you already know, and they are far more specific about Doomsday than anything in either trailer.

The Endgame Encore new scenes, in order
- Scene 1, the final scene: a knock at the door. Steve and Peggy are dancing, exactly where Endgame left them. Someone knocks. Peggy opens the door and asks, “Can I help you?” It is Loki, in a TVA jacket: “No, but I can help you, both of you.” Steve’s face is the last thing we see before the credits.
- Scene 2, mid-credits: Doom comes for Bruce Banner. Banner is hiding in an underground military complex, recording a message about his first Hulk incident in more than a decade and working on a gamma suppression serum. The lights flicker, the machines glitch, and a voice says his name. Banner asks what he is doing there. Doctor Doom answers: “I’m here to collect you.” A green symbol flares, and Banner is gone.
- Scene 3, post-credits: the TVA sees it coming. At TVA headquarters, Mobius and O.B. watch two universes launch missiles at each other. O.B. says it plainly: “The multiverse is collapsing.” The alarm counts up to 3,000 universes colliding.
- Scene 4, end credits: Doom forges his mask. Brief flashes of Doom hammering his mask into shape, cut to mirror Tony Stark building his first armour in the cave.
Scene 1: the house call our Peggy Carter theory predicted
Of the Endgame Encore new scenes, this is the one that matters most, and it is not subtle. Steve Rogers staying in the past created a branch reality, and the MCU has spent five years establishing that branches are exactly what the TVA exists to deal with. Loki is now the God of Stories holding the timelines together, which makes him the one person with a reason to knock on that door.
We laid out this exact chain in August: Steve’s happy ending breaks something, the incursions start, and the TVA ends up at the house. Our Peggy Carter theory called it a house call from Loki. Endgame Encore just showed the house call.
What it does not show is what Loki is offering. “I can help you” is either a rescue or a recruitment, and “both of you” means Peggy is part of the deal rather than a bystander. That matters, because the other half of that theory, that Peggy may not end up where Steve expects, is still wide open.
Scene 2: what Doom wants with Bruce Banner
Doom does not fight Banner. He collects him. That word is the whole scene.
It fits the most consistent thread in every Doomsday theory worth taking seriously: Doom is gathering power, not beating heroes one at a time. He wants Franklin Richards, and the reporting keeps pointing at Loki as a power source too. A man who can turn into the Hulk is exactly the kind of asset a Battleworld builder would want on a shelf. The timing matters too. The scene is set after Spider-Man: Brand New Day, which put the Hulk back in play after years dormant, and our Jean Grey explainer covers how that happened. Doom picks Banner up at his most unstable, which is not an accident.
Scene 3: the incursions are no longer a theory
The third of the Endgame Encore new scenes names the threat outright. Two universes firing missiles at each other is an incursion, the comics mechanism behind Secret Wars in which realities collide and only one survives. Until now the films had only implied it. The TVA scene says it, and the number on the alarm, 3,000, tells you the scale Doomsday is working at.
It also strengthens the reading of the other big Doomsday fight. If universes are colliding, then the Avengers and the X-Men meeting at the X-Mansion are not a misunderstanding. They are two teams from two worlds that cannot both survive. We made that case in Avengers vs X-Men in Doomsday.
Scene 4: Doom’s mask and Tony Stark’s face
The last of the Endgame Encore new scenes is the most deliberate piece of editing in the whole re-release: Doom forging his mask, cut against Tony forging his first armour in a cave. Same hands, same hammer, same fire.
That is Marvel leaning straight into the question fans have asked since the casting: why does Doom look like Tony Stark? The scene does not answer it. It does make the echo impossible to read as a coincidence. Every theory for it is ranked in why does Doom have Tony Stark’s face.
What the Endgame Encore new scenes tell us about Doomsday
Put the four together and the shape of the film sharpens.
- The cause: Steve’s branch reality, with Loki arriving to deal with it.
- The villain’s method: collecting power, starting with Banner.
- The scale: thousands of universes colliding, with the TVA watching.
- The mystery: Doom as Tony’s mirror, still unexplained.
None of that was on screen a week ago. All of it is now.
One caveat. Marvel promised IMAX and Infinity Vision screenings an additional Doomsday sneak peek on top of these scenes, and the reports so far have not said what it contains. If it surfaces, we will add it here.
